Really excited about this one my second guitar amp score in just over month! I found this cosmetically mint Fender Pro Junior III tube amp the other day and it's so clean you can eat off it! These are highly regarded amps and has 15 watts and a 10" speaker this one was built in the 2019. The tubes light up and has a light tube hum coming out of the speaker. I assume that the plastic input jack is broken it has no sound plugged in. I am going to give it to my tech next week. Paid GW $80 they sell for $400+ used.

I was after the Steve Miller Band albums in this one for my girlfriend. Just kidding I like them too .



Fingers crossed on the Jeff Buckley and Lauren Hill albums. I'm hoping they are both in good shape.



And I found a way to coax my 21 year old daughter out of her room in between college classes . She's been collecting vinyl (with my help) longer than I have lol.

Not a bad haul. I also found Led Zeppelin I-III and Physical Graffiti a couple weeks ago. Arrived this morning in great shape! Put them through the Spin-clean and re-homed them in rice paper inserts and new jacket covers. Also today, my girlfriend and I visited ANTIQUES MALL OF MADISON and found a booth by "Ball of Wax Records". There were a few other vinyl focused booths in the place, but nothing else came close to Ball of Wax selection, condition, and price (if the plug is a "no-no" please feel free to let me know. I don't know the guy, just discovered the place today). I found Neil Young Reactor, Bob Marley Legend, The Cars Candy-O, and The Allen Parsons Project I Robot (which I'd been hunting for).


Looking forward to more music and the Technics restoration. It's an experiment.

In the land of big box? Super high rents? But thanks, I have been doing this for 25 years.....I still find stuff but it's not related to audio unless you count a nice Pioneer TT I got at the dump the other day.
If I am willing to drive all over the place away from this area which has everything yeah I can find stuff.....

Not sure it's value but I think it's super cool. New in box. Box was in bad shape. Came with paperwork. Must be from the 70's because it has warranty pwork for anything manufactured after July 4 1975. Gonna toast up some hamburger buns to test it out. 10$

Found the date code 1977 made in Bridgeport CT. Works well. metal underneath has a few slight blemishes thanks to the box. Must have gotten water on it. Did not get inside the oven. . Would have been a great score if box was nice. As it sits a moderate score.

When I was a kid, Crazy Franks in Mineral Point WI was a surplus store. We'd go there for cheap squirt guns and plastic swords (and may be the occasional Star Trek model ). These days it's an antique mall. I managed to score Supertramp Breakfast in America, Fleetwood Mac Rumors, David Bowie Station to Station,Nathaniel Ratliff and the Night Sweats The Future, and an early copy of Tommy by The Who. Rub a dub dub. Some tunes in the tub! . This is my washing setup for both new and used. It seems to do OK with a Zerostat gun. Wash air dry, new inner, and outer liner. Constructive criticism welcome.

My GF and I listened through the stack tonight on my Dual CS-504 with an OM 5e.And they sounded great. Still thinking of upgrading to the OM30 to get a little deeper in the groove (thoughts?). But all that aside, not complaining about my thrift store finds. The Shopgoodwill items also arrived this week. The linear turntable needs some serious work. But the albums were in great shape (save one Rolling Stones compilation I really didn't care about).

Finally some great audio gear! Walked into Goodwill on my lunch break today and found these two beauties on the cart.

Marantz 6270q
Sony PS-x60

Both power up and spin properly, all auto features appear to work. Just need to check the cables when I get home. Both have dust covers(the marantz needs real elbow grease but is functionally good). The Sony came with a Shure Su30 cart. The arm looks like a piece of engineering art.

Total cost out the door: $50(25 each)

I've got a Marantz 6270Q as well, without a headshell. Yours looks to be in pretty good shape.
I've acquired a few items from a local GW and now that I'm in the thread, I'll share. So far, everything works with no issues.

This fun "camping" light\TV\Radio. It all works (dirty controls tho) but I don't have a way to broadcast a TV signal.


I did post about these speakers in another thread. I had to do some repair (8" woofer the back with a port, they are "JBL long throw" woofers refoamed).
The are Acoustic Design DM-6 or something, not common obviously. They do sound good in that space in a room filling sort of way.


Always fun to have a VCR to DVD recorder.


Low End Sony unit but it does have their decoder chip in it, so if I can find another amp that actually decodes the DSD layer...

That Sony is a great table. I have the x 50 and it gives my technics sl1210 a run for the money

We got one of these, or it's predecessor as a wedding present in '75. Great appliance, never really able to replace it when it croaked. Can't tell you how many "English muffins pizzas it turned out for the kids when they were small

That's the first thing I thought of when I saw that toaster oven, We called them Mock Pizzas.

Ugly, but it's mine. Pioneer PL-518 on it's way. Already have a new cart (just waiting to order the ML stylus until the deck is inhand), and feet. I love my Dual CS-504...but she's a diva. Hopefully the PL-518 after a full service will be a little less maintenance intensive.



I considered putting together a list of where all these records came from. But in short, thanks to lots from shopgoodwill.com, local antique malls, and some small mom and pop shops...I've gone from 2 LPs to 108 since January 2026. 61 artists spread across 9 different generas (every facing record in the pic...was bought second hand). With plenty more room to expand. Some are direct buys to support specific artists. But the vast majority were thrift store finds. Next up is building the french cleat wall mount for these bins (and 2 more). And of course...more music.

Sony and Onkyo supported SACD's. Sony 4K players still play SACD's.
