My thought too. I'm curious to see if it's listed again when the endorphins from winning wear off and reality sinks in for the 'winner'. That price is essentially triple the current market for a working unit.

The current market is triple what the unit is worth.....

Killing time today found this Sony BDP S1700 for 3.99 at Goodwill. Playing some Luther Vandross right now.

Welcome to the club. I pick one up whenever I see it. I have 7 currently. 5 are S3700, one S3500 and an S1700. I never spent more than $10 with most being under $5. I think I am set for a while.

Not sure it's value but I think it's super cool. New in box. Box was in bad shape. Came with paperwork. Must be from the 70's because it has warranty pwork for anything manufactured after July 4 1975. Gonna toast up some hamburger buns to test it out. 10$

I think this was my family's toaster oven in the 70s. If not that exact one, a very, very similar one from G.E. Seeing that just gave me a tingle of nostalgia!

Curb find: Miele Classic C1 Cat and Dog vacuum. Eye watering expensive.

Transfer station treasure this week...in a paper shopping bag with handles sat a new looking DROP THX AAA 789 headphone Amp with matching DROP Grace SDAC complete with good quality balanced cables and power supply.

So far everything is working as intended, kind of mind blown over this one...

Saw a headstock sticking out behind a box at a GW and found this very clean Applause/Ovation roundback acoustic made in Korea in the late 70's early 80's. The guitar was kept in very good condition and only $22!







A few days later a saw a hole in the strap button and realized it is also a jack accordingly they had installed a piezo pickup under the bridge and it works perfect!



Now my Ovation Legend (USA) that I bought new in 2000 has a friend!

Picked up a Yamaha K-2000 deck. One full day of transport service and replacing leaking caps she runs again.

Even though I was the world's c***yist guitar player I always wanted one of those Ovations, something about how they feel and sound is just wonderfully unique.

The only Ovation product I've ever seen for 50 bucks or under was dropped and the glass was basically sand.
I suppose you could play it like a maraca.

...and they still wanted 50 bucks for it.

That was a super steal for 22.

Was about to leave savers empty handed, out comes an employee with a cart with a nice, high end, lincoln electric auto darkening welding helmet for $10, they sell new between $500-$600. Lots better than buying a new cheapie one which I was almost ready to do. Works perfect, filter looks like new.

I got a new (to me) chair at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore for $165. It's a Crate and Barrel Eiffel club chair- really nice leather that Ms. Kitty is already clawing up contributing to the "patina" with her claws. Super comfortable! They had two of them. I regret not buying the other one, too.
