A new listening chair for myself? Not for my room but I couldn't leave it today at a local church rummage sale.

Yeah, $150 is a no brainer on that turntable. It's nice that the metal isn't pitted and it appears to be in good overall condition.
 
I got one free from a friend. Then bought the lid for it here in Bartertown. Sold it for $600 a few years ago. Nice table.
 
Heads up to fraud at Shopgoodwill!
There's a supposed Quad 405 amplifier currently listed, but it's a chinese knock-off, not a real Quad amplifier.
I won this item some weeks ago, and discovered it to be what it is.
The seller, Goodwill Industries of the Inland Northwest, issued a refund, but we went around regarding having Fedex pick it up.
They finally agreed to have Fedex pick it up, but now don't answer my messages calling them out on their re-listing the item with no disclaimer regarding it being counterfeit.
They've probably blocked me for insisting Fedex do a pick-up, as Shopgoodwill has been retalitory in this manner with past interactions....
I hope noone here is bidding on this amp under such despicable business practices.
 
Passed on a nice looking set of Infinity Interlude IL60's; $230. Someone is about to get a great deal, I just can't haul another big pair of speakers home...

Three of us passed on them they were $80 at GW. I think all of us have to much stuff so even the most ardent flippers passed.

So the way it sounds some flipper bought them and is now asking $230......sure sounds that way. A deal.....eh.

One of the towers was tagged $100, the other tower was tagged $80, and the sub was tagged $50, they should just tag the set. And yeah, besides they're big, there's just so much that can go wrong with those things. Someone will grab them eventually.

I saw $80 on one and did not look at the rest. You are correct somebody will buy them eventually. I still saw them there today. They remind me of big box speakers that were a few hundred from 20 years ago. AI is saying $2K MSRP in 2001. Hard pass.

These places continue to ask nutty prices.

So I will say, my friend's dad had a pair of these back in the day, and they really do sound pretty damn nice. They're better than anything you'd buy new for $230, that's for sure. However, the issue is that the plate amps will probably need some work, which might add a little to the cost. As a speaker, though? You could do a lot worse.
