That is the whitest watch I’ve ever seen!
One must look closely to see the hands on that one. That would be a deal-breaker for my collection, but looks neat regardless.

Ran across a pair of Infinity 1001 / 1001a's priced at $15. Cases look in good condition, woofer foam, as typical, is shot. I have too many speakers, so leaving these for others. Located in Baltimore County, MD, drop a PM if you want the exact location to discourage lurker flippers (lurppers?).

Bose Music System III.There are no buttons on these.Everything is controlled by a remote which was not available. I plugged it in and put a cd in the top slot.Bingo! It read and played.Brought it home and filled the other slots and they all played one after another.Ordered a remote of ebay. What I find interesting about this is there are two line outs on the removable bottom disc changer for a streamer or turntable with its own built in phone stage if one likes. Perfect compact system that sounds pretty good for what it is. Goodwill $29.99

That is a nice find. People on here might bitch about bose, but not everybody wants or needs a specialized set up with large speakers (This is really a problem on here) and amps. Simple, easy, nice sounding.

A couple of weeks ago at the local thrift, I found this dude sitting next to a late '90s/early 2000s Yamaha AVR that was listed at $50. The Marantz was only $10—amazing!
It wasn't without issues, though. There was no sound from the left channel, the ground wire on an amp board was disconnected, the bias was in the high 20s, and it was dirty inside and out. After cleaning it, fixing the ground, and adjusting everything to spec, it’s ready to go. I was also pleasantly surprised to find it had been serviced with Nichicon caps manufactured in 2014 and updated output transistors.
I’ve yet to listen to it, though. It’s been sitting the past couple weeks while I get reacquainted with my Fisher RS-1052. This way, i'll have a solid reference for when I finally listen to it. Feels strange to not immediately give it a go, but for some reason I don't feel rushed.
Also, just the other day I picked up a Sony STR-GX9ES and a CDP-CX230 player for $60 from the original owner. The big filter caps are bulging, and the bias was sitting at 19mV and 28mV. It runs noticeably cooler after I adjusted it down to 7.5mV. The Sony will be my first attempt at recapping.

Right, I saw your post from way back. The caps you listed are no longer available or at least I couldn't find them. I'm working on a list now, but not certain on the lead spacing for each cap. I haven't removed the board yet (lazy) to measure the. Do you happen to recall the spacings? Ai says the main and secondary filters are 10mm and the others are a mix of 7.5mm and 5mm. Also, are the main caps snap in type or solder lugs? It was a long time ago and I don't actually expect you'd remember such details, but thought i'd ask anyway. TIA

Now that is a good find. I doubt that was goodwill, anyway nice that you were able to resolve issues, and it was recapped.

You're correct, not a Goodwill find. However, I did win a GW online auction this week for a JVC XL-M600 6 + 1 cd changer. Pretty cool it has a both single tray and magazine. Unfortunately, aside from powering on nothing worked upon arrival. I spent double digit hours on it yesterday, i'm no repairman, just poked around trying to figure out how it supposed to work. It was shipped w/out the screws that hold the mech stable within, so I assume that caused the issues. I watched the fedex dude throw it up on his shoulder and run to the porch ha, can't imagine the abuse it took traveling across the country. Packing was bubble wrap and some paper, but that won't help with components getting tossed about. The elevator mech that rises/lowers to grab disks had detached itself from the gear assembly, everything was jammed up. Anyway, after may hours, I did manage to get the mag mech and single tray to work though a combination of sensor cleaning/adjustments, gear alignments (several times) etc. I stopped working when i finally got it to take in, read, and eject a cd. Win!

Very old find, but it's slow so I thought I would post this. Believe it's a Pendleton Pow Wow Native American Shaw. I believe it's a women's.
I always thought the bead work which is at the top, and the long fringe were added by the owner but no Pendleton made these for the Native American market, and trading posts.

Did a quick pass through a local thrift on my way to lunch yesterday.
Found these odd tower speakers and thought enough to get a pic of the label.
Binding posts a plus. Bi-amp capable a plus.
Got back to work and looked them up.
Seems like they are well liked, even on AK.
Stopped back at the thrift after work, got a cart and...wouldn't you know, there was a couple closely examining them.
I kept my distance and they eventually moved on.
Mirage FRX-7 in decent shape.
Missing the lower grills and one of the domes has the common delamination and cracks.
Woofers pass the bounce test.
5 bucks each.
Haven't had a scroe like that in a while.
