Goopy glue?

Hi there...does anyone have a source for the resin that manufacturers used to glue glass, bezels, etc. into their faceplates?...looking for something that basically works the same. FYI, do not use Gorilla glue for these applications. trust me...

I usually use Aileens Tacky glue, same stuff I use for replacing speaker surrounds.

Yep, I learned the Gorilla Glue lesson the hard way too (though fortunately not on any audio gear). That stuff expands like spray foam insulation as it dries and gets all over everything. Fine for certain applications, definitely not here though.

Yup...made my mistake with a "new" plastic bezel for a pioneer sx-3700. Just expanded to marble sized balls all over the place. Messy job I had scrape all off without scratching anything. Should have asked first, I guess.

I have used contact cement in the past,
I have also used Elmer's rubber cement which can be easily cleaned up (peeled off) and is somewhat flexible.

Thanks Mark...I actually thought about using contact cement but wasn't sure about metal to metal/plastic bond strength. And I was concerned about temps causing the pieces to come apart. I imagine if I glue both contacting surfaces, that should be fine. Its my stuff I am fixing, so I will give it a try. Thanks!
