I take it that will only work with a vinyl analog source as I have noticed speaker cone movement differs greatly between digital and analog sources.

Should work the same.. it's a suddent sharp movement that solidifies it so to speak..

Dang... I hate it when my laziness gets the better of me... In the article I first saw the link to this (OK, on Facebook...), there was mention of a turntable.

When I watched the video, I was so transfixed by what that stuff was doing that I completely failed to look at the background.

I recall an episode of Mythbusters where they concocted a solution of water, food coloring, and corn starch and filled an open-topped vessel with it. They were able to walk across it without sinking into it.
