Grado MG Stylus

Hello AK folks,

I'm a long-time lurker and I think first-time poster (I can't remember, I just recovered my account). I used the search function but didn't find anything that answered my question. So I bought a Technics SL-QD3 a couple of years back at a thrift store and the cartridge it came with says Grado MG on it. From a quick Google search, all I could find is that it may be the equivalent of a nice current day Grado model. I don't know much about it. Is it worth selling on eBay if I'm not currently using it? Is there somewhere on the forums where cartridges are sold?

Pardon my ignorance. I intend to post some more eventful things in the future, this seemed important as it may be worth a bit more than I paid for the turntable itself.

Thanks

There should be a manu date on the back of the cart above the pins, if the coil cover is chrome-ish it's middle line-up cart, if the coil cover is gold-ish it upper tier cart. It is of the M series. Check coils for R value. 800ohms is early production M series, 485 ohms is later production M series. Would prefer to see 35K input load over 47. But that is really system dependent at the end of the day.
