Grado Opus3 on a Technics SL-D3

Happy New Year, Audio Karma! I’ve been looking for a new cart to replace my Grado Red on my Technics SL-D3 and Marantz 2235B. Had my eye on the Nagaoka MP-110 but just saw the Opus3 so now I’m wondering if it would be a good match. Not sure if my setup would require a high or low output version either. Opinions?

It appears that Grados do not hum on the SL-D3 so you're good there:

Forum member ilikevinyl just put an Opus3 on his Thorens, replacing a Nagoaka, and he says he likes it better. Grado should be a good matchup with your Technics table.
Of the low or high output I would choose the high. Any system would work with the high but with the low you may have to turn volume up much more unless you have gain options on your phono stage.

I asked that question of Joseph when I was considering a purchase. He recommended going with the high even though my system can handle pretty much any low output cartridge. Grados are capacitance loading immune and any problems associated with amplifying a low output cartridge are eliminated. I took his advice and am very happy with the high output version.
