Grado stylus to ID: yellow dots and tiny elliptical diamond

Hi all, I acquired two vintage Grado cartridges (G1 and G1+) recently from a seller, and this Grado stylus was also included in the sale, in a seperate box. I looked under a loupe at the elliptical diamond, which is super clean, and unusually tiny. Tapered aluminum cantilever too. We know that it is brown with two yellow dots, and I'm guessing late 70s/early 80s production. I read on this forum that it might be a P-M1/S, with mention of A "twin tip", but I'm not sure what that is, there's clearly only 1 tip!. Any insight to offer up on what this stylus is? Thanks in advance.

This is so called twin tip stylus, their best regular line stylus at the time (there were also hand made Signatures I-IV). Great stylus, but in this color grip usually also very high compliance, in order of 30-35, so care should be taken with matching it to a tonearm.

Excellent information thank you! Will pay attention to effective mass of the arm it gets put onto. Edit: Thinking of a Grace 707 that I have....

I have a working G1+ with original stylus. Also a couple of later TOPL replacements from a few yrs. later. This is definitely worth using.

Also worth noting is that brown body G-1+ (and to a lesser extend black body G-1+) with original styluses can sound quite bright at standard 47k loading. Dropping loading to 20k or 10k fixes the issue. On the other hand, MC lovers could like them at standard loading. Later M and X series styluses don't sound as bright on the G bodies.

I could tell it was probably quality by the tiny diamond and long tapered cantilever. I've actually mounted it into a signature MCZ body. It looks ugly but I'll bet it sounds great. Thinking of mounting it all on a low mass Grace 707 tonearm.
