Hi Guys, and greetings from Portland, Oregon.
I am jumping into an audio restoration project, as a way to renew various audio gear from the "Golden Age" of HiFi! And why not? When I was a teenager, even the entry-level HiFi I could afford was pretty good, but, we didn't know how good "the good stuff" really was!
Now, I am determined to get one of those grand old "battleships" fixed up, so I can enjoy, the sort of beautiful, powerful sound I really couldn't afford, back when I was working Summer jobs!
My starting point will be the Pioneer SX-828, I recently scored. And - would you believe - there were some little "surprises"! So here I am: green, and eager to learn!
Cheers.
