Hello everyone, thanks for allowing me to join. Greetings from mid-east Missouri! I'm hoping that someone (anyone?) can help me down the road in restoring this Marantz 6300 I have. I'm in need of a (preferably original or new clone) of the counterweight, which is apparently as rare as hens teeth. I know this isn't the forum to ask for items or whatnot, but doing my due diligence in saying hello :).

Good Luck with your 6300 - it is worth a lot of effort. I'm listenting to mine regularly and love it.

Former 6300 owner here. CW on the 6300 heavier than normal. Finding a lighter one is no problem and then use a lighter headshell vs. the stock 'Marantz' embossed 13.4 g one.
This will lower tonearm mass and enable you to use higher compliant cartridges.
