Hello everyone, I'm here to ask the occasional dumb question.

Years and years ago I thought I knew a thing or 2 about stereos, but things have changed.

I still have, in the garage, my 40 year old gear: 2 x Tiger .01 monaural amps by SWTPC (the hot tip at the time, mid 70's), Harman/Kardon Citation 11 pre-amp, and some really decent RSL speakers. I'm old and foggy on the new stuff so I'll need an occasional hand.
