Hi all, am new to this forum and even newer to the vintage audio hobby. Hope to learn more from the forum and jump into an exciting alternative to the uber expensive hifi hobby :) looking at a Kenwood KA5500 as a first vintage equipment followed by possibly a Sansui AU717.. Been reading a lot of positive comments about these :)

Thanks for the warm wishes :) Now, would the Kenwood be a bad buy? Am auditioning it tomorrow but would like to hear some honest feedback. Will be using it primarily for my HE-5LE orthos via the speaker taps.
 
I can't help you on the Kenwood but if you're ever in Boston there's a beer with your name on it.
Better hurry though, I'm getting thirsty!
