I suppose I ought to introduce myself. I'm nowhere near the audiophile or gearhead many of you folks are, but from the time I was a kid bringing home old stereos in my wagon until today, I've always enjoyed tinkering with vintage receivers, turntables, speakers, etc. I've been lurking around here for a long time and appreciate the wealth of information found in these forums.
What finally got me to register and join AK was a pair of Marantz Imperial 1 speakers I found locally that are lovely and would make an excellent addition to my living room set-up if I can get them back into shape. I know next to nothing about speaker repair, so this is my first go around.
I don't have a lot of expertise to offer, but if my journey restoring these speakers (if I can) can be useful to someone else, I'd be glad for it.
