I have been a member of this forum for a year but have not been posting. Since I am starting to refurbish a Scott 299D I thought this would be a good place to get some info.

I am in my early 50's and work as a commercial HVACR service tech. I have been into building audio kits since the mid 70's. The last kit I completed was a few weeks ago when I put together a Bootlehead S.E.X. amp to use as a headphone amp. My main system is based around McIntosh vintage tube gear. My pre amp is an MX110. I am using MC40's for my amps. my inputs are a restored Teac A6010 reel to reel, Teac TN 400 turntable with a Micro Sieki MA505 tone arm with a Stanton 681EEE cartridge. My cd player is a Luxman D-351 as well as my cassette deck which is a K-351.

I am looking forward to picking some brains.

Welcome from another AKer (Arkansas version). I've got a couple of MX-110s, some Mac tube amps and other assorted audio gear, too.

I'm sure you'll like the Bottlehead stuff.....

Cheers,

David

Welcome from SW Missouri. What speakers are you using with your MC40s? Sounds like a nice setup.

I did leave the speakers out. Shame on me.

I Have Klipsch Chorus II's.

Three of my college era room mates were from Hope, AR. We had Heresy's all over the house. They worked at the factory most summers for Paul W. I got hooked on Klipsch a long time ago. My goal is to populate my soon to be built "man cave" over the new two car garage with a couple of Klipschorns and a Belle Klipsch for the center channel. That's the plan... anyway. ;~)
