Hello all. i decided to join this site because i come here all the time whilst looking up info about my systems. i've been slowly upgrading my junk for years now.

currently i'm using a newer Kenwood receiver 5.1 with stock surround speakers and a Klipsch center speaker.

i found a dual 1229 TT at the local thrift store for $39 and fixed and lube it all. the motor was grinding until i opened it. recently i replaced the Shure hi track cartridge and stylus with a brand new Grado Black.

when my son is asleep i use my Grado SR60 phones.

i'm currently looking to upgrade receivers, and maybe go Tube... maybe

anyways greetings!

Welcome, neighbor! <waves from the west side of the St Croix River>

There's a lot of Wisconsin members on AK. I'm sure some of them will chime in soon.

Sounds like you've got "what it takes" to enjoy AudioKarma.org.

Cheers.

it just snowed for the first time in mass quantities for this season. 8-14inches. i just snowblowed my brains out. :-p

i live in milwaukee! and if you watch CBS 58, i'm one of those responsible for the ridiculous covered of the snow storm!
