Hi all,

New guy, here to learn. My google search results for a lot of audio research I'm doing keep leading me to AK and I can already say it's been an incredible asset and inspiration.

Looking forward to learning to navigate the site and dig in. Apologies in advance as I bring very little to the table -I have more questions than contributions.

My most pressing topic: Restore/Modify Pioneer HPM-100 Crossovers (100w); fix shorting potentiometers

Current System:
Yamaha A-S801 Integrated Amp
Pioneer SX-535 Tuner
Audio-Technica LP120 USB, AT VMN 540ML Cartridge (will eventually mod and bypass pre-amp)
Laptop Streaming TIDAL and Downloaded hi-res FLACS
Cambridge Audio DacMagic 100
Technics SB-CR77 Speakers (I know, I know)
Pioneer HPM-100 Speakers (just acquired, never recapped, harsh/shrill tones at times)

Down the rabbit hole I go...

Hi and welcome to AK! Nice audio gear you have:thumbsup:
Nothing wrong with those Technics SB-CR77. Decent speakers had a similar set lower down the food chain and different model run(SB-SL501). Only problem I have with the SB-CR, SB-SL, SB-LV, and SB-LX sereis is the amount of money folks want for em.
