Hello, I came across this forum via google due to a recent cassette deck problem (NAD 6100 - will not play, heads remain locked into play position thus have to manually turn flywheel to bring heads down enabling door to open)
I've been a NADiophile since early 90's due to reasonable pricing of quality equipment and simple styling of products. I've had relatively no problems with the monitor series models (until this recent tape deck issue), but cannot say the same for the 705 receiver (lighting & power issues). The dark grey/charcoal finish of the NAD equipment blended well with my other MITSUBISHI video equipment (including the led display of green/red).
My NAD equipment consists of: 7000, 5000, 6100, 5025, T513, 705.
Other notable components: PARADIGM 5SE & MITSUBISHI HS-U54, HS-G20 (hi-fi vcrs were great to have back in the day for recording college radio programs from 12AM-5AM -
reflection eternal)
