GT-2000 Dust Cover

Just got my new Pioneer GT-2000 turntable in Japan. Curious what would happen if, for some unknown reason (earthquake ???) the dust cover were to be destroyed or broken. Do people sell replacements ? I looked through the forums/google and couldn't find replacements anywhere. I'm sure hifido is sourcing them from somewhere aftermarket...

Anyone know? Thanks!

With moving parts built by MACRO-Seiki no doubt. :D

Is the OP in Japan? If so visit the hifido shop in Marunouchi. They are very friendly there and could probably tell you where to get one. As Mark said the yahoo jp auctions are an option (periodically) but truthfully any acrylic plastic supplier could make you one in any color you want. The clear ones you typically see are just three sheets cut, bent/molded and bonded together. If you are a metal fan then a blood red top could be pretty killer against the black base.

I just purchased a NOS lid for my Denon DP59L. Got it from a seller who has a friend in Japan that gets them. The tables in mint condition except for the original cover. The new lid is a bit darker and the Denon logo is larger. The table now looks as if it was just purchased new!
