Thanks to the AK community for such a great warm and friendly place and for the plethora of knowledge and information.
My fascination, or possibly obsession, with all things tube, started over on the guitar amp side of things. Got my first guitar tube amp back in 2001 and have been hooked ever since. I cut my tube teeth modding various guitar tube amps and eventually, building several amps.
After buying a tube tester from a guy who was into old hifi tube audio amps, it dawned on me that I had never considered putting together a nice tube audio system for my listening enjoyment. Well I finally got a system together and have been hooked on old hifi tube amps. Currently I have several eico and knight mono amps that i'm planning to rebuild. Eventually I would like to build a tube audio amp(s) from scratch.
