Gustard R26 or Musician Pegasus II?

So I have been interested in adding an R2R DAC to my setup. I've narrowed my options to Gustard R26 or the recently announced Musician Pegasus II

Sadly I have no way of trying them out before purchasing and I have to rely on opinions.

I am only using digital sources (FLACs mostly). My current setup includes an Eversolo DMP-A6, miniDSP Studio, Magnepan MMG speakers and Rythmik F12 sub. I am interested in applying Dirac Live to my setup.

I have the first version of the Pegasus and like it a lot. Now that I know there's a second version I'm wondering how much better it is.

My friend had the Gustard but only for a short period of time because of a connection glitch that turned out to be in his amp, not the Gustard. He was able to hook it up using single ended cables and it sounded great. When I was looking to upgrade I seriously thought about getting the Gustard, but when searching around I found the Pegasus for less than a grand so I bought it.

Now I'm wondering just as you are......

Both are loaded with features and look top quality.

A detail i noticed from a brief look on both: seems like the Gustard uses larger dissipation package (wattage) resistors in its ladder.
I suppose this can be a plus for the ladder, all other things being equal, which of course aren't.
That's just by looking at the pictures, so i'm not sure.

Anyway, I think you'll be happy with either but in reality the only way to do proper comparison is by auditioning both units yourself.
