A 256K stream is a turn-off for me, since there are multiple other choices streaming at 320K, even 320K AAC+ (Tidal) for the same monthly charge. Anymore, that's a minimum requirement for me.

I have always adopted the idea that mastering is more important than the bit rate once you get to the 256k mark. Apple, for example, uses 256 AAC, but they have tons of albums that have been "Mastered for iTunes". I think they sound better than the original CD in many cases. I doubt that Guvera has the same advantage, but I think that there is a much bigger difference in sound quality between good and bad (think loudness wars) mastering than there is between 256 and 320k bitrates. Unless you know what masters they are using, you really don't know which service has the best sound quality for individual albums.

Never did get a sign up confirmation email, but started getting their marketing emaiks, lol. Tried logging in, failed, but was able to reset password, and can now login. Now, I never gave them a credit card, but am able to play full albums on Guvera in Sonos. I didn't expect full access, is there a default free trial period without a credit card signup? Or have I stumbled on a hole in their security?
