H/K 330c help

My H/K 330c has one channel out on speakers (sets A and B) and headphones, for all inputs. The unit was not misused just stopped working. I found this forum and was hoping for some advice on possibly what to try or where to go for help. I don't mind getting dirty and know how to use a multimeter. I don't have a scope. Thanks for any feedback.

Have you exercised all the switches? The most common cause of trouble of this sort is oxidized switch contacts. Do a search on "DeOxit" on this forum, there are a zillion tutorials on how to use it (it's an electronics solvent cleaner) to clean up dirty switches and pots.

+1 on this recommendation. Also be sure to check the speaker fuses; the 330c has one per channel, with the fuse holders at the bottom left corner of the back panel.

I'm very happy to report that the unit is fixed. Either cleaning the pots and switches or removing and reinserting the speaker fuses resolved the issue. Now can someone recommend a source for lamps for the 330c? I'd like it to look as good as it sounds. Thank you to dspear99ca and Dr Tinear for your money-saving suggestions.

The dial lamps are 8 V @ 300 mA fuse lamps. The stereo indicator lamp is 6.3 V @ 40 mA. http://wjoe.com has an 8 V @ 250 mA FG670 fuse lamp that will work just fine, though I'd recommend changing all six to get as good an intensity match as possible. At $0.90 each or $7.50 for ten, it's a cheap fix. I don't know what base type the stereo lamp has, so I can't tell you whether Joe has a bulb that would work.

MCM handles the lamps and have free shipping this month. use code WC19C to get the deal. Request a catalog. They have some nice stuff and fair availabliy on some parts. They are an AK sponcer so there is a link on this page.
