Man I love Marantz . . .

bought this baby today at the NEAntqRC (manchester NH) "as-is" and untested. so far the only problems are a dirty faceplate and the far right dial light is out.

MMMMmmm . . . BLUE GLOW ! ! ! love it !

I already had a 1152DC, SR5100, 6200 TT, and one of the pimpin gold tape decks. I always wanted a 70's era (marantz) receiver to go with the 1152DC and today my wishes were granted :banana:

I have the pre-outs plugged into my magnavox 6bq5 tube amp listeing to jazz ala mode and DAMN does the tuner sound nice ! (but of course you guys already know that :yes: )

now if I could just find a marantz model 8 or 9 for ten bucks . . . .

I was jonesin' for a good marantz steal . . . a 2285 in DC escaped me by a few days, although that one was near $100 . . . I like $10 alot better

my 1152DC has a blown phono preamp, and until I find a cheap parts unit I've been using it as just an amp . . .now I have the perfect preamp for it :D

I'll have to gather the Marantz children for a family shot . . . :yes:
