Hafler DH220 vs 220C Comparison

Since for some odd reason there isn't a Dynaco / Hafler manufacturers sub forum I'll ask here.
Has anyone compared an original DH220 to the Bob Cordell version? I've recapped my 220's PC19C boards and in basically stock form it sounds really good. I installed Musical Concept boards in my 500 almost 20 years ago and don't want to go that route with the 220. Cordell's boards look interesting and it would be great to get feedback from anyone that can share the sonic differences and your impressions.

Bump! Very interested as well. I was looking at the MC boards as well, but would rather go this route if they are good to go :)
 
I worked with Bob Cordell to design the pcb's to make this design available, so if you have questions we should be able to answer them.
There has been a fair bit of interest looking at 100+ installations, going on over two years now I'd say its reliable or no known issues to date.
I ran my DH-200C continuously for 2 years until I put it aside for the BC-1 design earlier this year.
I did not compare the original design to the new DH-220C design. The DH-200 units I had to work on were both non-functional so I tore them apart for the mods.
There is a thread on DIYaudio where you would get more feedback as to listening impressions. To me it sounds just fine but that's just me with 63 year old ears :)
One thing to note is that Exicon/Profusion) has discontinued the lateral mosfets in the TO-3 can because of costs and demand.
There is still stock, might want to think about having a few spares for insurance purposes.
I used the exicon devices in one of my builds.
