Joyfully hugging,

angel faced, taking a nap,
these joys stolen by COVID.

floods of hormones, each hoping to
get noticed, before
advancing years temper moods,
desires, habits, dreams with
metamorphosis.

False teeth and toupee,
Big gut girdled by spandex,
Contact lenses in,
Spray tan covers the fault lines,
It's great to be young again.

like a rock dropped in a well,
tightly close your eyes
think of them laughing with life
not veiled by eternity.
 
Messages are sent,
Amazon trucks circling,
Boxes stacked by doors
Pirates waiting to steal them,
The vicious cycle renewed.
