Handicapped g-9000db

I scored a G-9000db a couple of months ago for $50. It was very dirty and needed an extensively cleaning. I have finished the cleaning inside and out. To my surprise it works and look like new.
I have 2 request:
1. Where can I find feet for it, since all 5 are missing.
2. The fm reception is extremely weak for a 5 gang tuner. What gives?

Regarding the tuner my 9090db with stock antenna is very good. My Kenny KR-9600 with stock antenna is excellent. When I listen to my local jazz station I always use the Kenny. However I am a Sansui fanatic and am sure something is wrong with the Big G.

First off, welcome to AK. Second I see where you said, "It was very dirty and needed an extensively cleaning". Is there any chance that you could have gotten some chemicals into the area where the tuner fins (??) are. If so that would be a .

Clean the FM Band, Noise filter and muting switches and see if the tuner doesn't work better. Feet come up on eBay from time to time. Also check the parts swap area.

I actually sprayed faderlube into the tuner fins(gangs). It was not my intentions. I had my head somewhere else, and actually thought I was spraying deoxit. I did use the deoxit to try and reverse what I did. I am thinking I really messed up there. I try not to pull or even touch the boards because I don't know much about electronics. Seriously everything I know and try to do is because of you guys on AK. Thanks to all of you and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

Oopps..that was a mistake, you will have to completely clean away all that stuff from the tuning cap fins. Try 99% pure alcohol, or possibly pack the thing up and send it to a good tech for service, and tell him what you've done.

Regardless, don't operate your receiver with no feet. Block it up with some 2 x 4s or anything that is handy. If air can not get under the bottom it can not circulate through the unit. This will create heat which is the enemy of all amplifiers.
