Happy 50th, Highway 61 Revisited

[finnbow]

The best album in the history of mankind, Dylan's Highway 61 Revisited, turns 50 tomorrow (August 30).

My older brother bought this album when it first came out and it has been my favorite album ever since then and in constant rotation at Chez Finnbow over the years. It's an album I find impossible to tire of.

Got it on now, Finnbow.

It'll help you get by when "your gravity fails and negativity don't pull you through."

"Man you must be puttin me on." One of those albums I bought new, and it has remained in rotation ever since. Thanks for the reminder - it will be playing tomorrow.

I posted a link yesterday to NPR's story. They introduced five 20-somethings to the album for the first time. The results were positive, if some of their comments were a bit...odd.

Fantastic LP. Part of the Holy Trinity. Thanks for the tip off, I hope I will be able to spin it tomorrow.

Just finishing side two, and wow! This album really sounds just as fresh today.
