After seeing so many tributes I wanted to say as well that my dad passed in '92 & the avatar is a tribute to him.

My son called & wished me a Happy Father's Day.

Son is two years out of college, gainfully employed, and buying his first house.

Daughter just completed her junior year at college and is employed by a company that appears to want to keep her after she gets her degree.

Doesn't get much better than that. Hope all of yours are equally satisfying.

My Dad's been at rest since April 1981 but I do go each and every year since to see him at his final resting place!Do so also on his Birthday as well as Mom on her days:tears:

We had a little lunch gathering with my folks and 2 out of 3 kids, ate myself into a coma. Good times.

Happy FD to all you guys. We don't celebrate till the first Sunday in September down here. This year will be my first and I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully we can make a drive down to see my 85 yr old Father on the same day. He's been in an high-care ward, aged care facility for going on five years now. He had a bad stroke at 80.5 and we didn't think he'd make it to 81.

Jasper, my Son is 9 months. He's visited his Pa twice at 3 mths and 6 mths. Time for a visit! On reflection I shouldn't wait till September. I was so thankful they've met, and although Jasper will never remember his Grandfather, it lighted up my poor Dad's life on those visits.


As an aside, when is the Mother's Day celebration in your countries? In Australia it's on the second Sunday in May.
