I've had a really s**ty day. Bank account nearly wiped out (being fixed as I type), cranky kids trying to kill each other and worst yet... spilled my damn drink! I'm declaring the Airing of Greivences officially open. Anyone want to go first?
So I am late for my wife's family get together to deal with this crap with the bank. As I'm leaving for an hour drive that I hate to make to begin with, I look over and see an old pole from some chain link fencing we replaced with a wood privacy fence. I throw a piece in the back of the truck and show up at family Christmas. Everyone knows I'm mad and why (not at anyone there) so I show up, mad as hell due to traffic and spilling an overpriced Starbucks as my two older kids are arguing over something the two year old did (makes no sense to me but I'm male and they are are female... I'll stop there). I pull the pole out and everyone looks at me like I've lost it (jury's out on that). I drive the pole into the ground (everyone is outside now), say I'm mad as hell and declare Festivus. Of course only two people there get it as my wife is shaking her head and buries it in hand. My 17 year old nephew come up to me and declares feats of strength and grabs his sister and practically (playfully) slams her to the ground. Everyone looks at us like we're nucking futs as I declare airing of greivences and start going off about the bank, ebay and a host of other things that have made my like more or less a living hell recently. Other join in, though they have no idea what Festivus is about...
