Hi all. I recently acquired a nice HK330B, wood case and everything, for a decent price. It works ok for the most part, but as it's going to be part of a wedding gift for my daughter, I'd like to get it fully restored. Full recap, bad transistors, new lamps, etc.
I'm not confident enough, or really equipped, to do the work myself, so I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how much of a beating my wallet will take for it. $300? $500? I'm in SE MI, so there are some well known shops that do good work, but I have no idea what they charge other than the $80 bench fee to give it a once over.
Alternatively, if any members in the area could do it as a side gig that would be cool too.
One more thing, does anyone know if the red translucent power buttons that HK used in the 70's were universal? I found a 3D printing schematic for a 930 and I'm wondering if it will fit the 330 before I order a bunch of them.
Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
