That said, you can measure the value of a potentiometer, even with a broken-off wiper, by measuring the resistance from the outer two pins. That should tell you what value replacement component.

Thank you. I did identify/replace the variable resister (250K). Low FM output problem remains. Still searching for schematic that matches my FM IF and MPX boards. This FM IF board does not have the TR08 transistor shown in the variant 3 schematic. My MPX board has three large black rectangles, an ic chip and two discrete transistors. The variant 3 schematic I have shows 4 discreet transistors. I can barely hear FM on both channels at full volume. Have 7mVac input to IF from FM front end and 121mVac out to MPX board but not getting any vac out to switch from MPX.
