Harman Kardon AVR 3550-HD 7.1 Issues

My Harman Kardon AVR 3550-HD 7.1 has recently started to shut off after being powered on for anywhere between 5 and 20 minutes and requires a power reset in order to turn back on. Everything works for those 5 to 20 minutes, it just won't stay powered on.

This model is going on 15 years old... Is it worth attempting to find someone who can repair it? My fear is that repair will cost more than it is actually worth, if it's worth anything at all. I can't seem to find any 3550 HDs for sale anywhere online so I don't know if it holds any value.

Little value, most likely. It's HDMI 1.3a, which puts it near the dawn of the HDMI era of AVRs. Even if you could find someone willing to service it, it's unlikely they'd be willing to do anything more than a board swap. Even if Harman still stocks the board(s) in question (and that's a big "if"), that cost, plust the cost of diagnostics and labor, would well exceed the value of the receiver.
