harman kardon citation ii

Hey maciek, neither my upgraded or bone stock units sound dry or lacking in bass.

The mcshane upgraded one sounded like **** for a hundred hours or so. Now it sounds great.
I think it was a combonation of new tubes and new capacitors needing to burn in.

Mine sounded quite dry also,but it wasn't rebuilt.Soo.. before going the rebuild route,I am doing an experiment,I didn't like the original circuit also for all the heat generated under the chassis,as it pretty much cooked the boards.I am running a different circuit,but it is a work in progress,if it pans out,Ill keep it,if not I'll go back and rebuild it.

Thanks guys,that could be it ,it is maybe only 30 or 40 hours running and eh kt88 maybe not the greatest,sounds better with my old ge 6550a's but i don't use them much since they look almost shot,flashing burned out,some plates corrosion is very bad
