I find the whole thing amusing to be honest. Allowing ourselves to become frustrated with an ever changing world, is nothing but a guarantee that we'll remain frustrated till the last breath leaves our bodies. Personally, I don't have the time or energy for it.

As long as you stay within your sphere of influence with regards to irritants your life will be less stressful. It took me years to learn that if it's something I cannot control to let it go. I still struggle at times but most of the time I just let r go.

But there's a huge difference between ignoring the quirks of a younger generation, or standing idle and watching the ongoing dumbing down of our great society for the sake of letting them "be themselves".

I agree with BOTH points, but sometimes it is hard to just ignore when you have to communicate with someone that types in modern shorthand.

One of the modern phrases that really irks me is when someone (loudly) says "shut up" after every sentence spoken to them.
