I guess I'll contribute here. I've been around these parts for 6 years or so. Don't post many system pics, mostly because I don't have anything too flashy.

I'll post what I've currently got though!

Thank you! It's the best equipment I've had yet, so...moving in the right direction. Although I do miss some gear that's moved on, but it's got me to where I am, so no regrets!

Looks like you have some super-nice stuff too in your signature. I had a Thorens TD166 MKII at one point. Also Maggie 2.7QR's. Both fine pieces of gear that are in the "miss" pile

Thanks for the kind words, everyone! It took me 6 years to get to this point. I've had some fine pieces come and go, as have most of us here!

@RichPA - I'm not sure if you remember me or not, but my Bel Canto DAC came from you...really enjoying it! Then the CD player fell into my lap from another kind AK'er who gave me a great deal on it. Really liking the Bel Canto stuff. Just so listenable, which is exactly how I'd describe the Tannoys! SLIGHTLY warm (melted-butter-smooth!), but not lacking in detail either. I've heard some say that they provide a very nice "big picture" representation of the sound. They might not be the best for analyzing every micro-detail, but they give you the whole story in a very enjoyable fashion. Another review I read said something like "they just remind me of real people, playing real instruments." I find that to be true too. Close your eyes and your favorite musicians are in the room with you. They get the timbre right and they have sort of a "live" sound, probably due to the horn-tweeter, and the fact that I have the treble energy turned up on the controls (I like it that way...it has more energy yet it's not bright in the way that hurts your ears). I thought my 107's did that pretty well, but these are better. Similar to the Quad 57's I had, but with more bass. And I'm not afraid to work on these, like I was with the Quads. Really weird that they sound at all similar, because the speakers couldn't be physically much more different! Highly recommend listening to some Tannoys at some point if you can manage it.

Yes, of course I remember you. The Bel Canto stuff is indeed excellent, and that's a very impressive system overall. Enjoy!
 
Thought I should update this, as I now have RCA LC-1A's in place of the Tannoys (for about 6 days now). They are ugly little buggers, but they sound great.

I have poor memory because I already "forget" how the Tannoys would sound in comparison to these RCA's. I think the RCA's are a bit "softer" with less high frequency energy, but perhaps a more natural midrange...it is quite realistic, although not as dynamic or forward...and again, the less high frequency energy. I don't think either pair of speakers will be going anywhere though! I will be getting new, larger, prettier cabinets for the RCA's. Probably Altec 612 cabinets for now (readily available).

The current cabinets are 4 point something cubic feet, while the Altec cabinets will be 7 point something cubic feet. Closer in size to the original cabinet size that the RCA's would have come in. Some day I may have some 10 cubic foot or larger cabinets built, I hear these like big cabinets.

These RCA's came from an AK'er and supposedly originally from a theater in Chicago.

Tannoys are hiding under the stairs, for now.

Thanks! Not really my preferred "style" as far as the credenza but so far I've been focusing on sonics rather than visuals haha. Although I am a sucker for aesthetics too so maybe I'll have to find a way to address that aspect. Need more money, haha, but then I would just spend it on gear again instead of furniture, d'oh!
