Hazelnut bread.

Don't worry, this is NOT a mold thread, LOL. ;) I went shopping yesterday, & they had a section in the bakery aisle for Oregon Bread, which was a new one on me. I ended up buying a loaf of hazelnut bread, with a lot of real nut chunks in it, and just had a Nutella & butter sandwich on it a bit ago. Pretty tasty, for sure. :thmbsp: Anyone else have experience with hazelnut bread, or the Oregon Bread company?

never had the hazelnut bread, but had plenty of dried hazel nuts whenever i go to Canada - too bad i'm not supposed to bring any of those nuts back to US.

also love the Nutella!

It looks like most folks are trying to ignore this whole thing, but they'll change their tune, after the Great Pacific Northwest Hazelnut Rebellion. :D ;)

Too bad Nutella isn't more hazelnuts and less sugar and palm oil.

sugar, palm oil, hazelnuts, cocoa, skim milk, reduced minerals whey (milk), lecithin as emulsifier (soy), vanillin: an artificial flavor.

That bread does sound good. I'll have to look for hazelnut bread at the store.

The Oregon Hazelnut bread is my favorite, even in the nutty community known as Berkeley. Haven't tried it with Nutella yet, just for my lunches at work. But..sounds good.

yeah, last time i looked at the label on a nutella bottle, i was thinking the same.... too bad they taste so good. nutella crepe with banana...yum.

Grew up in the PNW, where we called 'em Filbert nuts. Had three trees in the back yard. No difference other than name, I guess.

Filbert sounds like the uncool nerd kid at school, LOL, so I guess they were smart, to start calling them hazel nuts. ;) I never ate a lot of Nutella, growing up, just grabbed this jar about a month ago, on a whim. It wasn't "as" good on oatmeal bread, or 9-grain bread, so apparently, it works best on this hazelnut bread. :D

skipped lunch today and haven't had dinner yet.....i think i'm gonna grab some burger after i get off work around midnight.

I will have to give the bread a try sometime. As for Nutella, just give me all natural peanut butter, and add a bit of honey. Yum!
