Headphone jack slips out of macbook

I have a macbook pro and have had repeated problems with this.

My headphone jack is auto detect to switch between laptop speakers and headphone jack.

For some reason, they keep loosening up on me and my jack pops out from the littlest movement.

Is there anything I can do?

I am still under warranty and had them replace the sound card twice and it helped but soon i am at square one again.

I had the same problem on my last macbook. I don't think i am overly rough and i don't use any weird jacks.

Anyone have any ideas to keep these things in firm??

If it is still under warranty take it back to Apple, hopefully there is a store near you.
I have had numerous problems with Ipods and Iphones but I have never had any problem with them getting replaced when under warranty. Their customer service is pretty darn good IMO.

Thier service is much better than Acer. They actually have customer service. In any case is this happening with the same pair of headphone and have you tried others? If it is the same pair ther mini phone connector may be the problem, if a number then it is the jack on the Macbook.

Do you mean the male headphone plug is coming out of the female jack?

Or the female jack itself is coming out of the computer?

If the male headphone plug is coming out of the female jack, have it fixed via warranty, and then try a 90-degree adaptor- seems to reduce stress on the jacks.

If it's popping out of the computer, have it fixed via warranty, and perhaps a tiniest dab of epoxy added to hold it in place?

No issues with my macs on this but I do worry about the possibility of whacking a headphone plug on something and screwing up the unit- they are sturdy, but not that sturdy.

I really need to figure something out. I tried plenty of male jacks and they all do the same thing.

if i send it in, im gonna get another sound card installed and the same things going to happen after a few months.

Dont really have time to send it in.
