Headphone output problems with an Almarro A205A MKII

I just picked up an Almarro A205A MKII - my first single ended tube amp. I immediately hooked it up to my 12" Tannoy Monitor Gold speakers, and it made them sing much better than the Eico HF-81 I was driving them with. Very nice and detailed sound and no hum whatsoever. So, then tonight I thought I would try out the headphone jack while my wife is sleeping. Unfortunately, it has background noise - low level static and an intermittent beeping of some sort. Do you think this is a problem with my headphone stage or is it just feedback from being around other electronics? Anybody run into a similar problem before? I have asked the guy from whom I bought the amp about whether he has had problems, but I thought I would also ask here if others have experienced such problems. Any advice would be helpful - thanks in advance.

Somebody recently reported a wireless router causing noise in their HP amp. Is yours near a router or wireless phone?
 
There is a router nearby, but would that make sense if it did not cause noise in the amp when played through speakers, but did cause noise in the headphone stage?
 
Don't know if it makes sense or not, but HPs make it much easier to hear noise. Try turning the router off and see if that fixes the problem with HPs.
 
What headphones are you using?, low impedance, high sensitivity headphones reveal noise very easily, just the opposite with high impedance, low sensitivity headphones.
 
B&W HP5 headphones. I think those are low impedance, high sensitivity. Would that make that much difference? The sound in the headphones is very noisy, and - as far as I can tell - there is not even a hum through the speakers.
 
They are 26ohm 115dB/w so they'll need a very quiet amp to get a black background.

But since the noise you are hearing is not consistent, I'd look for an external source of the noise, BmWr75's suggestion looks like a good place to start.
