Headphone Stands...How do you store your Cans?

So i've got my second pair of headphones on the way now, and they're significantly nicer than my current Sony MDR-7506's. Right now, i kind of just lay my Sony's on the desk near my stereo...but i'd rather not just let my new $$$ headphones lay around like that.

Which got me thinking about headphone stands, if you don't know what i'm talking about let Amazon give you some ideas:

I really like the look of the "Omega" Stand:

But those are pretty expensive, they have cheaper metal and acrylic "Omega" ones though.

I also like this one because it can hold two pairs of HPs at once and it's cheap:

This is what is shown above, for reference: http://www.amazon.com/FortuneCat-He...d=1393369276&sr=8-16&keywords=headphone+stand

So do any of you use a stand like this? What do you use? If not, how do you store your cans?

PS: I have no affil with Amazon, i am not encouraging a D&S discussion nor and i am trying to promote Amazon as a retailer, the links are merely provided for reference for those who don't want to do a google search on their own.

I made this stand a while back and made a thread about it. It works for me but I like the look of the omega stands much better....

Made my own or of mahogany. With help from a real carpenter of course. (Those cheesy looking speakers are Paradigms :D)

I love the Sieveking Omega stands, especially in Zebrawood, but they're just too damn expensive, especially if you have multiple headphones.

I'm thinking about getting one of these which are made here in Korea by a company called Codia. For the price of one Sieveking Omega, you can get two of these. The come in Birch, Walnut, Rosewood or Black. They also have a nice feature, which is a hook in the back to manage cables, something the Sieveking doesn't have. There's also an option to have the wood engraved with whatever you like, although it costs extra and has be to custom ordered.

Same here - I don't like my phones gathering dust. For those older phones I have where there was just a bag, I use a case from a company called CaseBudi (I think that's right). They offer a variety of sizes. Plus the cables aren't dangling about or tangled with each other.

I have my Grado HP and GS1000 on wooden stands that I have made, my recently aquired Grado Bushmills X, wich are light as a feather, are on a banana stand, and finally, the gloryfied dumbells that are my PS1000, are laying flat on a shelf, simpli because the cups are so heavy that they slide down on the rod.

I'm sorry RamblingE, I'm not good with computer, I'm giving it a try right now, here goes nothing!

Woah!, it worked, there's hope for me after all!. These are two of my headphone amps, my Little Dot 1+, and my ultra rare, vintage Grado HPA-2 headphone amps.

Those Bushmills look killer. And that's a sick collection by the way!

I just realise that I forgot to post a pic of my home made stands, I'm not much of a carpenter, so please go easy on me.

Wow thats quite the Grado collection! You'd be pleased to know that my new headphones are RS1i's. So far i'm enjoying them a ton. At the moment though i'm storing them like you have your PS1000s, because they just sit so well that way and it also doesn't put any pressure on the headband. Perhaps i won't be using any kind of stand afterall.

Brass coat hook from hardware store mounted on the side of my stereo cabinet - $3.

Top (larger) hook for headphones.

Second (small hook below) for the loosely coiled wire.

I use a football with a knit watch cap and a pair of sunglasses. Looks like a head. I put the phones around it and most people think it looks way cool
