i have used these with my Android tablet (vizio Vtab) and Galaxy Nexus and these headphones do really well with both...i.e. no need for amp or whatever

they seem pretty well made and fold up / come with carry bag... I really have been loving these and to me at least they seem to do very well w/ portable devices.
 
I've had real good luck and excellent sound and fit with Pannasonic HJE 270 ErgoFit ear buds. But, they make nicer models. I just ordered a pair of HJE 350's - still not top of their line, but I'll bet very good (wait a minute, I just did bet ...). I think the 450's are TOL?

My wife loves them and she has small ear canals. She always refused to wear buds until I gave her a pair of the Panna Ergo's. Now she wears them for hours out in the garden. She's convert to buds as long as they are similar to these.
 
HJE900- The problem is: if you can find 'em for a decent prce, you'll want to keep them all for yourself!:D:D:D
