HealthKit! Should I pull the trigger?!

It’s been awhile since I seen anything worth a double take in my area. I am so close to these speakers and I would love to know more information on them if anyone knows. I would ask the guy but previous experience taught me not to really ask a lot of questions. So I don’t want to contact him without more knowledge. Check em out. They look slick. I hope this is allowed.

Wow. Thank you gentleman. I found a thread and someone said it’d be a great hifi starting speaker. I appreciate you’re help. Have a good night.

Caution: I believe the woofers in those may not be original. All the pics I found online showed woofers with eight screw holes, but the ones in the ad you posted only have four. It's possible that when the woofers were refoamed, the gaskets were replaced with four hole gaskets, but I'd confirm before purchasing.

Interesting. I’ll have to address that. Are woofers a big deal to acquire?
Depends. Since they're Heathkits, there's a decent chance that they were used in other speakers as well, and if you can figure out what they're supposed to be, that would be a big help towards replacing them. However, since these are 50 years old, it may be difficult to find a working pair. Personally, I wouldn't go through with the purchase if the woofers aren't original.

ETA: having had a closer look, I'm pretty sure they're not correct. The woofers look like generic poly cones from the 1990s. The correct woofers would have paper cones.

Thanks man. You know I’ve been tinkering for maybe 4 years now. I’m 30. I have a pioneer sa9500ii and matching tuner. I’ve had a bunch of project receivers, tuners, and speakers. I’m not trying to buy a project right now. My next purchase is suppose to be solid and non invasive. I’m over it to be honest. It’s a pay to play and plug and play that I’m looking for.

Much gratitude.

These Infinitys sound great. U could use the smaller ones and the avr for a second system and sell the sub and center. Pretty good deal.

Yup totally agree. I'd offer $200 and not pay a penny more.

Just use and enjoy.

Depending on your listening taste that sub might really help things. Also use a receiver that has bass management so the demand of the towers, both on the speakers and amp driving them, isnt as taxed.

Good call

Additionally, it appears one of the fuse holders is partly missing, that'd be another big red flag for me.

Are those infinity’s really regarded though? I already have a pioneer elite avr setup my cousin gave me. It’s got center, sub, towers, and bookshelf’s. It’s the Pioneer vsx44 system. But I have the pioneer sa 9500ii I want to pair mid-hifi speakers with. If the infinity towers are that good I’d try to just get them?

I'd pass on those Heathkits as they seem to be a Heathkit designed model and not a clone of an AR/JBL/Altec speaker they sold. $200 is pretty steep for an obscure speaker that may be hard to sell; you probablky would take a hit on them if you ever went to resell them.

I'd take a look at those ESS Tempests or the Bozaks on CL as they are about the same price and have some collectibility, as well are speakers designed by respected speaker builders.
