Heathkit Altec Legato Speaker Connections HELP

If anyone out there has any information on speaker connections to these magnificent beasts, I would appreciate the information. Strange XO's with 3 leads to the speaker terminals. One of them had the wires snipped. The other was complete and I followed the lead for the second speaker. But I am somewhat confused why there are three leads to the speaker terminal. The terminals are marked 1,2,C. So where do I connect the + & - ???

Thanks in advance for any info.

I’m not a technical guy so I will leave the answer to someone who is.

Any chance of a pic or two of those beauties?

Sorry, should have added photos. Here they are, mismatched because they were usually sold as mono's. Also in the photos they are upright. Not the way they will sit.

Would help with a picture of the crossover connections, where 1, 2 and C connect to. Also think you have those speakers sitting on their sides.

Yes, I realize they are shown sitting on the side. That was just to move them easier. They are now Laying face down.
Here is a picture off of the internet. Same XO.

Assuming you'll be using one of the McIntosh tube amplifiers in your signature, you'll want to make connections for a low DF amplifier. For the SS MA6200 use the high DF connections. Of course the most sensible approach would be to let your ears decide which connections to use.

Yes, that is exactly what I will do. Just wasn't sure if I would damage any of the drivers with the wrong connections.
Thanks again.

Did you ever find the answer to how to wire? If not, send me a message, I have original assembly instructions somewhere.
