Heathkit is Back

Plenty of small kit vendors out there now (Ramsey, Velleman for a couple). Was in Radio Shack yesterday and saw they now are selling the Parallax line of modules for whipping up all sorts of little electronic doo-dads of the programming/controller type.

Our local Radioshack now carries the Velleman kits, which I was really surprised to see. I built one of their 2 watt solid state amps once - it was like $5 - and it actually sounded pretty good.

I'll bet that thermal printer was a lot quieter than the ASR-33 Teletype I was using back in the 1970s. :yikes:

HAH!!! Me too!!

And I still have my RUNNING GC-1000 clock! :thmbsp:

Good times.... I miss building kits.

Marc

Great news, I also hope that they get back into the audio line, eventually they may even supply parts for some of the older gear.
