Last year I sold my restored Heathkit TT1A vowing that I was leaving the tube world and sticking with ss for awhile (2 year old)
I just keep coming upon tubes, and amps to play with and the other night on Ebay I snagged a TT1-A tester to restore. I emailed the lady as it was listed as untested in the auction. She plugged it in for meand did a line check. It worked fine so I took the plunge and purchased another TT1-A. They have at least 10 capacitors to replace and about 6 diodes as well. Really good testers though, solid and reliable leakage tests. Seems bizarre but for me the restoration is the part I enjoy mostly about vintage gear.
