Heathkit W-5m&WAP2/electrovoice sp12b pairing

Hi,

I recently picked up a pair of heathkit w5m amps with WA-P2 preamps (currently getting looked over by my repair guy). These are my first tube amps and was just wondering if they would be an appropriate pairing with a set of speakers I bought awhile back (electrovoice sp12s). I also have a pair of Ohm walsh 3s that I am considering hooking up these amps to. Any advice would be appreciated!

thanks,

Jared

The EV's are 16ohms so they would definitely play well with tube gear so they would be compatible as to appropriate I'm not sure what you mean by that.

As to the Ohm's I could be wrong but based on the specs they might benefit with more amplification.

thanks for replying, I just meant that the pairing between the two would be okay and not under powering the speakers.
