I did get mine one at a time, and even so they are not inexpensive...quite more than I thought I'd ever pay for a set of 'off the rack' valve amps. Their output Iron is very much worth the expense, and if I could fine a third it would make an excellent teardown sample for the good folks at Heyboer.

I have seen it. For sale by a gentleman who lives about 20 mins. away from me. Henderson NV pretty much has become a part of the Las Vegas metro area. It is a pretty piece but does not look like much was done to it. Which doesn't really matter in the long run if the price is right. The pair I have purchased had a Deluxe rebuild completed in June of 09. I don't want to jinks myself with bad karma until my pair arrives safe and sound. Other wise I would post more info about who did the work and what the work cost. I believe I am getting a great deal for what I am paying.
 
Agree with your plan. Please update us with pics and reviews when you have worked those monsters into your audio life. One thing to note is that these outputs are very rare and I've been looking for a long while for a back up or two. Later, should W6s prove your java cup--acquire a back up. Good luck. Ron

With words like "Deluxe rebuild" I tend to think of one person, and if I'm correct, you got a steal on those amps. He also worked on my amp.

So, where's the pics and details? :D

I am also extremely interested in viewing the article for rebuild and mods. My pair has sat untouched for 15 years now. I could do a stock rebuild but i have read that the stock circuit is problematic.
 
He is probably kicked back listening to them and totally neglecting the online world...LOL I swapped out the 6AC7's on mine, took a gain hit and installed a pair of 6V6GTA in the front end. LTP, E-Linear connected to the finals. One of the amps had a KT90 failure. By the time I could reach its switch it had cooked its 1W/10R bias sense resistor right open. OPT is fine...:) GE 6550A riding in place now.
