Hello all,
Like every other introduction page I've seen, I've been lurking this site for quite a while now. Everytime I have a question about a receiver or turntable, or speakers, or really anything else about audio equipment this seems to be the place where I find the answer. So finally I decided to sign up and try to contribute, as well as ask a few questions of my own.
I've been an audio nut for quite some time now, although more often I'm reading and learning about guitar amps and equipment more than home stereo equipment. However, listening to the best recordings of guitars and such on crappy speakers and equipment doesn't exactly do the recording justice, so I've been slowly working on getting a better listening experience setup.
In a rare moment of luck, I also recently came across what seems to be a pretty decent haul of stuff sitting on the side of the road. Including what is my new pride and joy, a Harmon Kardon TA3000X, in apparently decent working order. At least it hooked up to my old pioneer turntable and sounded pretty decent. Maybe some tube replacements and pot cleaning needs to be done though.
Anyway, I'll post more about that later, just wanted to say hello while I sit here waiting to be helped at the secretary of state here in Ypsilanti, MI.
