You are so right… where to start … yikes !
So I started with the JBL’s .. had one that was sounding funky. Determined it was the woofer causing the issue. They were refoamed in 2014 by a professional with a great reputation. The coil has some light rubbing. I’m going to have that shimmed and refoamed again. That will take care of the output end. Man I do love that sound from them, they were put away way too long !! The woofer is a 122A, worth the price of a high end refoam.

Next will be to sort out the receiver, needs some lamps replaced for sure, has some glitches in the controls that need pinning down. Will be starting with de oxidizing the controls .. so the process is on. I appreciated your advice and encouragement
