Lurker for awhile, started stumbling into vintage audio after a renewed interest in cassette tapes (both old finds and new underground releases) and vinyl. Have more time than money, and on my quest to slowly build a nice vintage setup I've found myself here! So far I have some cassette decks going into a Technics SA-929 and some Realistic speakers I scored from GW - it's quite meager but it's a start. Brings more pleasure than playing music through my computer anyhow. :music:

Wanted to say hello before I start posting more often!

Hello joshuatx.

Greetings to you and the Formula 1 circus which is guest in your town this weekend for the first time.

Hey from another Austin AKer. I did the same thing myself. Stumbled over after a friend recommendation. Good people and good information.

Welcome from Az . I lived in Houston for a while but I spent alot of time out in Austin , I use to be a pro drummer . How I miss Texas !!
Rudy .

Welcome. I love cassettes too. I use TDK SA-90s for my daily listening. I save the metal stuff for my 15 ips R2R transfer recordings. I live an analog life, so why chop it up into 192 kilobits per second?

It went quite well, a lot of people were anxious about the event and how it would go overall. Missed out on tickets, but I look forward to going next year.

Yeah exactly, while I'm not anti-digital but I like taking a break from it. Haven't acquired a R2R yet but I'm sure I'll add one to my collection at some point.
